Non-Emergency Number

The non-emergency number is the number you should use to report all non-emergency situations. Using your non-emergency number allows your 9-1-1 center to better prioritize calls and gets help to those in life or property threatening situations as fast as possible. Your non-emergency call may take a little longer for dispatch to answer - please, don't hang up! Your call is important to us and the agencies we serve!
AI For Non-Emergency Calls
WCCCA is launching an automated virtual assistant, named AVA, to assist call takers by triaging non-emergency calls. Ava helps gather information for routine, non-emergency needs such as lost property, noise complaints, parking issues, and other similar situations.
Ava will help us maintain our low wait times for non-emergency calls while keeping dispatchers available to service 911 emergency situations. Ava is for non-emergency calls only and all activity is monitored by a dedicated WCCCA dispatcher. If at any point during the assisted call the situation requires a live dispatcher, the call is immediately transferred through.
WCCCA will be monitoring activity as the program continues and will make adjustments as needed to ensure we are providing the excellence in communications our agency strives to deliver to our community members and partner agencies.
